T.C. Elliott is a storyteller: More fabricator and fibber than poet. More prone to narration than eloquence. He’s a blue collar lyricist. His lyrics get the job done. That’s not to say his songs are devoid of emotion or depth. It is true, however, that they tend to have a straightforward, midwestern bent for polite bluntness. Yet, every once in a while there is a turn of phrase or an image that strikes the imagination, that adds to the story. His solid guitar playing and steady voice relate tales and ideas in a workmanlike fashion. He is an everyman who plays guitar because he enjoys it and writes songs because he has to: It is his calling.
T.C. writes in diverse styles and has numerous projects. He constantly jumps from project to project and he sometimes even finishes a collection and shares it with the world. T.C. is a ‘little L’ libertarian, a man who truly believes in live and let live. He has worked as a warehouse worker, forklift driver, soda delivery man, restaurant manager and supervisor of a municipal recycling center. He earned his black belt in Tae Kwon Do, has competed in 5k races and has coached in-line hockey and softball for his (and other) children. Most importantly, he has married the woman he was meant to be with and is the father of two daughters. T.C. was born and lives in Missouri, the “show me state” and is just a ordinary guy telling stories with his guitar.
